Wondering what resin flower preservation is and how it works?

Browse our FAQs and feel free to get in touch if you don’t see the answer you’re looking for!

  • Encasing your flowers in resin is a beautiful way to capture your special moment in time, and share floral keepsakes with friends and family. It’s a labour of love - drying and arranging your flowers, before pouring multiple layers of resin over them until they are preserved in clear, hard plastic. We can create mementos in a huge range of sizes, shapes and purpose, including jewellery, and keychains.

  • Flowers in resin last forever, but resin is a plastic that will unavoidably age overtime and gradually take on a more yellow tone. At Everbloom, we go to great lengths to slow this process down by using high quality UV-resistant and anti-yellowing resin. We also provide clear instructions on how to care and store your piece, including keeping it away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.

  • All flowers need to be dried before they can be set in resin. We can preserve your fresh wedding or special occasion flowers and will work with you to ensure they are shipped straight to us in the best possible condition. From there, it’s a process of carefully drying your flowers for several weeks to ensure they are completely dry before we cast them in resin.

  • Yes, we can. We ask that you make sure your flowers are free from mould, rot, dust or hair, and looking the way you want them before you send them. We can’t make any changes once they are dry. Everbloom is not responsible for any damage, dust or hairs that are within the flowers that we cannot see.

  • We can turn flowers from any special occasion into beautiful floral keepsakes, whether it be a wedding, christening, special birthday or memorial. We absolutely love working with wedding flower bouquets, so get in touch!

  • Once we have received your flowers, it will take up to 8 weeks to complete the preservation process depending on the size of your order and what type of flowers you have. Find out more about the process here.

  • Dianne can only preserve a small set number of flowers at a time, so it’s best to book in advance to guarantee there is space on your special date. If you book while you’re still in the early stages of planning your wedding or occasion, we can offer guidance around the best flowers to choose for optimum preservation.

  • We want to get started on preserving your flowers while they’re still at their very best, so it’s important that you get them to us as soon as possible after your event (no later than 48 hours). We use a unique technique to dry your flowers while preserving their colours, and this process only works if the flowers are not starting to wilt.

If you’d like to drop your flowers in person, drop-off to the Everbloom studio in Kerikeri is free.

If your event is elsewhere in New Zealand, we recommend couriering your flowers to us as soon as possible. Please note that we no longer take flowers from South Island locations.

We will work with you to create a plan for packaging and shipping your flowers.

  • Taking care of your flowers on your special day means that we end up with the best result, so please put them back in water as soon as you can. Avoid touching the flower petals and throwing the bouquet if possible, and to decrease the chances of bruising, handle them gently. Bruises will only show up once the flowers have been encased in resin.

  • Once we receive your flowers, we’ll assess each of them carefully and select the best ones for your floral keepsakes. Unfortunately, we’re not able to ship surplus flowers back to you.

  • We understand that things happen. If the date of your wedding or event is moved due to circumstances outside your control we will do our best to move your booking to your new date. If it’s not possible for us to do so, we’ll refund your deposit. Deposits cannot be refunded due to change of mind.

  • Of course, we can add other items to your piece. Some popular items are the cork from your wedding day, ribbon or lace from your dress, or jewellery items and charms. Just let us know when you make your booking if you’d like to include other keepsakes.

  • If you’d like to gift Everbloom’s services as a wedding or birthday present, please contact us and we’ll provide you with a gift certificate to include in your card to them.

  • If your wedding has already happened but you’d still like to resin your wedding flower bouquet, we can work with a local florist to source and recreate the flowers from your special day. Get in touch with some photos of your original bouquet, and we will provide a quote for your approval before we proceed.
